My 10th release is my rendition of Nick Cave’s ‘Into My Arms’. 50% of the profits of this song's sales go to LGBT Ireland. It came out on Valentine’s Day, Feb 14th.
This cover song came about by surprise. We were busy recording my debut album (in late 2020) and me and my pianist Scott had some spare time to record it. This is one of my favourite love songs in the world. I'd like to dedicate it to my father. My hero. And I'd like to remind anyone out there there's good out there, there's hope and there's love. Even when you can't always see it.
Thanks to RTE Radio 1, RTE RnaG and BBC Radio Ulster for the radio support for the song so far.
I hope you enjoy the music video for the song too. You can buy my song on bandcamp and as mentioned before, 50% of the profits of this song's sales go to LGBT Ireland.
Live YouTube Videos with Naomi SV
I also have some exciting collaborative videos coming out with the wonderful Canadian harpist Naomi SV. Here’s one of Naomi’s video as a little teaser. We’re gonna be doing two covers together (one on her channel and one on my channel). ‘Famous Blue Raincoat’ by Leonard Cohen and ‘Black Is The Colour’, an old traditional Scottish song.
Subscribe to my YouTube page (and tick the bell) and Naomi’s YouTube page to see the videos first when they come out.
I hope you enjoy my single ‘Into My Arms’ and thanks to those that bought ‘Into My Arms’ on bandcamp so far. It helps make new music possible.
